Question about partial stay for DH

I'm considering my options for DDP for our fall trip. DH is military and is only able to join us for 4 out of the 7 days of our trip. Since we have AP's (DS and I) and my DH will use a military pass, I'm debating whether to add him to the reservation so he can be on the meal plan. I could conceivably use all 7 TS credits without him, paying OOP for him on his days - but was wondering if they would allow me to use one of my credits for him? My other option would be to add him, and then I would use his extra credits for character breakfasts on the days he's not with us.

The legalize on the dining plan is that it is not transferable and that everyone on the reservation has to be on the plan. When you checkin, each KTTW will have the total number of meals you have on the plan--they won't put x number on each. As you suggest, for your peace of mind you may want to add him and then use his extra credits for character meals that may be 2 TS or signature restaurants.

Your credits will be pooled together. When we go we almost always use my KTTW card to make our DDP purchases. Your credits won't be tracked separately by card user.

I'm worried that since my KTTW card will say 1 adult and 1 child that htey won't let us order 2 adult meals at a TS. I don't know how strict they are about that - to me, it should be my choice as the person paying if I wanted to share, but I know the wording says that you aren't allowed to share your points with anyone else.

You are correct that this is what it will show. Since the DDP is non transferable, you will only be able to use 1 adult credit and 1 child credit per meal. You will not be able to use 2 adult credits at one meal as credits cannot be shared with someone not on the plan.

They won't let you order 2 adult meals. It isn't your choice. By purchasing the plan, you agree to Disney's terms.

You're right. You will have to add DH to your DDP to order 2 adult meals at the same time. My previous comment was based on the assumption that you will be adding him on.
