Question about parking in Georgetown, Washington DC

Planning on heading down to DC this spring with a few friends. We would like to visit Georgetown Cupcakes while we are there.

My question is, is there any place to park around this store??? We would be coming down the GW Parkway. Or maybe taking the Metrorail from Shady Grove into DC and then taking the Metrobus. Public transportation is actually my preferred method of transportation.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

There is some on street parking which has always been full when I've been there. Go to georgetowndc.com. They have a map which shows several parking garages/decks near Georgetown Cupcake.

Go early. We tried a couple of times this summer to get in, but had waits exceeding an hour each time.
