Question about Park Admissions

i've got a question...

if we choose NOT to get the hopper option, are we still able to re-enter the SAME park on the same day?

ie- go to MK in the am, head back to offsite hotel for lunch/naps/rest/swim, then head back to MK in the afternoon/evening?

i know we can't switch to more than one park in a day, but i was wondering if you're allowed more than one admission to the same park on the same day.
