Question about Panda Virus software scan?

Is there no way to disinfect your computer once you've done the Panda online scan, without having to buy some software to disinfect your computer? I really hate companies that offer something free in order to get you to buy something else.

Supposedly, the Panda scan says I've got 5 spyware. Spybot & AdAware don't recognise these as threats. I think they are junk simply tossed in with my Verizon DSL toolbar tools, so I don't care if they are on there. However, my computer is running a bit slower, so I'd like to take these alleged spywares off, but not if I have to buy Panda-ware to do it.

They list some 30 day trial, but list no details like what happens after the 30 days? Do they then start charging me?

If I remember correctly, after your 30 days are up, they'll make you an offer to buy it.

We had lots of problems with it at first. Evidently there's a problem they know about, but won't release a patch to fix it (at least that's what the IT gurus told my DH at work.)

So...we're now back to old McAfee and haven't had any problems, knock wood.

Panda did work good for a while there, but we encountered some kind of problem where it kept asking us to do something that we didn't have, and they wouldn't send us what we needed even after spending the $80 I think it cost to buy it.

Oh well...live and learn.

I think Dan Murphy has Panda and swears by it, but we did have some issues.

We now have it on the kid's computer and they seem to be doing okay so far.

Seeing that adware and spybot dont see these, what you can do is google the spyware that Panda says you have and see what you can come up with and see if its something you need to be concerned about.

Or if you want you can post them.

When I was looking for new anti-virus software I researched Panda. I found enough negative reviews to make me take a pass on it. I went with PC-cillin. After the sale price at Best Buy and the rebate it was free! I love it. Not as intrusive as the Norton I had.

Even Panda says all of them are low threat. And I am NOT getting any weird pop-ups or email spam. But it's a great idea you gave to Google them. Going there now.
