Just had a confusing conversation w/ a CM, in reservations.

I was getting quotes for our upcoming trip (Dec.), including dining and meal plan. My oldest DD, is currently 9, but will be 10, in June.

When preparing the quote, the CM, said, 2 adults, and 2 children? I said, that one of them will be 10 before the trip. She asked if she was 10 now?, No next month.

Anyway- she said it was age at time of booking. That is not right, is it??? :confused3

Part of me wanted to leap right on that deal, since dining is $25, less per day, and park tickets cheaper too. :earboy2: But don't want any issues later.

Any thought, or experiences w. this? I do know that if they turn 10 during the trip, it is still the lower price, but not if you just book it, when still 9- Right?

TIA

TIA

It is their age at time of travel (check-in). :)

See- that is what I thought

It just really bugs me- The wrong info that the CMs give.

If your child turns 10 in June, she will be 10 in Dec when you arrive. So she is an adult ticket. It doesn't matter when you make the reservation, but when you are at the park.

How are they going to know?
Do you need to bring some sort of ID or a Birth Certificate?
It's up to you. No one will check a birth certificate or ID. Let you conscience be your guide, as Jiminy says.

But after you have had one reservation, they have your kids' ages and birthdays. In fact, we still get happy birthday calls from AKL for our son and my niece (since she was with us there). That was two years ago.

Exactly.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

We're thinking about a trip in 2006-during the trip my oldest DD will turn 10. Would she be able to stay at the 9-yr. old rate (looking at the dates, she'll be 9 for the majority of the trip)? :flower:

Just thinking ahead... :sunny:

If she is 9 when you check in she will not be penalized for having a birthday. If she is 10 when you check in she is supposed to pay the higher rate. So to answer your question when you book her age is nine at the time of check in.
