Question about package discounts

Hey all!

My family is heading to Disney at the end of November and we plan on utilizing the free dining while were there. I just saw the promotion offering gift cards to people staying within the same time frame we are, and assumed we would be eligible, but upon calling, the man seemed confused. He wasnt quite sure what I meant at first, and when we supplied him with the discount code, he attempted several times to apply it to our package, but then finally said we wouldnt be able to receive the free gift card, or it would cancel out our free dining. DOes anyone know if this is accurate? I see on the website that restrictions apply, but I cant find anywhere that says what they are exactly, or anything saying you cant use more than one promotion at the same time. I'm only questioning because he seemed a little confused, but I didnt want to push the issue if he told me I cant get it. Thanks bunches in advance!

From what I understand, you can't apply 2 promotions or discounts to one vacation stay. You would have to choose either free dining OR a free gift card; you can't do both. As another example, you couldn't use the room discount AND free dining.

For what it's worth, I'm travelling alone and when the WDW agent priced out Free Quick Service Plan Dining vs. Room Discount, the QSPD worked out to a better deal.

Totally correct - Disney only allows one discount at a time, whether it's free dining, room discount, gift card, etc.

As far as I know, Disney doesn't allow stacking of discounts, so you would not be able to use both promotions for the same trip. I've even read that people cannot use their AAA discount with things like free dining.
