Do you all hang out for the whole thing or do you go for only part of it? Would I be considered prude if I only went to part of it???? I REALLY want to see CP and John Tesh and that would be my ONLY night to do it. I could try to get the 8:15 seating or I can just try to go and get in to the 8:15 without getting the seating....I'm just trying to not miss anything regarding DISCon but I REALLY want to see John Tesh and CP.....

People came and went last year. Pete did speak near the end and if you leave early you would miss that, but the CP is a wonderful event!

Well Chris, I think last year most of us hung around for almost the whole (if not the whole) time. Everyone was meeting and talking and such......That being said, if there was something special that I wanted to be sure to do I would feel comfortable leaving during it......(remember, you "don't need to be present to win" any of the great door prizes given out that night!;) )
If CP with John Tesh is something that you really want, I would say go for it!
Just find out ahead of time where most people are headed after the reception (likely to be Jellyrolls) and you can catch up with everyone again there!

I think they actually had to tell us to leave after last year's reception. All of us were just talking and visiting and forgot about how long we had been there.

If you only want to stay for part of it, that's what you should do :)

I think it's better to go to an earlier show of the CP so as not to miss the end of the reception. To get to the 8:15 show, you'd have to leave the Swan by 7:30, and that would be cutting it very close.

They did give out some door prizes and things toward the end of the opening reception too.
