Question about opening hours

I've just checked the opening hours for US and IOA for my trip in August and was surprised that the parks will be closing at 6pm and 7pm.

This seems a bit early for high summer, do they ever extend the hours? Or do they stick to the published hours?

Not sure when in Aug. you are going but they always cut the hours back after the middle of Aug. due to the fact that schools in the south are back in and the crowds are much less. We are there starting the 13th of Aug. and they are open until 8 at IOA and 9 at US and then starting that Sun. they start the earlier closing.

Universal will tweak the hours based on crowd levels but if you're going much after the second week of August, I doubt the closing times will be extended. Lots of schools are back in session and family vacations are over for the most part.
