Sailing in January from San Juan to New Orleans. I noticed the onboard time says 5:00 p.m.. When we have sailed in the past from Port Canaveral the onboard time was listed at 3:45, but of coarse you can get on much earlier. With an onboard time of 5:00, what time do you think they actually start the boarding process. Just trying to plan how much time we will have in San Juan that morning to do something.

Thanks!!

If you look at the Wonder schedule around your Feb cruise, you’ll notice that they need very little time in port to turn the ship around. On other cruises, they dock at 8AM and still post an all-aboard at 3:30PM. In your case, the previous cruise will dock at 7:45AM. I’ve never had a cruise not scheduled to board around 11:30AM (outside of delays caused by weather or ship inspections) so I’m pretty sure you’ll have the same experience on this cruise. The late departure is probably due to port availability, the fact that the next day is a sea day and that CC is not so far away.

We are sailing from San Juan on a different cruise. Our sailaway time is listed as 5:00 p.m., but boarding times were available as early as 11:00 a.m.

I wouldn't wait until 5 to board - they're usually getting ready to finish boarding at that point. The terminal building at San Juan is "no-frills," so I also wouldn't spend any more time there than necessary. I would say board by 2, but that's just me. We like to get on as early as possible.
