Question about old park hoppers

We have park hoppers from our trip in October that still have 3 or 4 days on them. My question is this: I plan to use two of the days on each ticket fro our February trip, then activate my AP for our April trip. What about my non used days on my PH? CAn DH us them or is there going to be some new system in place to identify the ticket user?

I would think there'd be no problem. The reason I say this is because last week DS and I were in WDW, and he used a 5 day park hopper I'd bought last year. There were never any biometrics used on his pass. If he'd not used all 2 days, he could give the pass back to me at the end of the trip, and I don't see how they could identify the user, so that I could use the last day.

That's what I'm thinking. I want to activate the AP for our April trip to get AP rates, don't need them for the Feb trip, have ressie at the Swan with the DIS discount. Hate to see the days go to waste on the PH.
