I cannot find this answer, I swear I've looked!
I need a true 2 bedroom with the twin sleeper chair and pull out sofa, how do i make sure i get that and not a lock off 2 bed? and when I ask for it, does it say on my reservation so I'm not anxious about it for months? lol

A 2-bedroom lock-off will say 'lock-off' in the room type. Both the dedicated & lock-off 2-bedrooms at OKW have the same sleeping arrangements (1-king, 2-queens, 1-queen sleeper & 1-twin sleeper).

Ohhh I didn't know that!! So, the master bathroom entrance is the only difference?

Buildings 30 and higher have two entrances to the master bath. But, there are significant differences between a dedicated and a lock-off 2-bedroom. A lock-off consists of a 1-bedroom and a connected studio. Obviously there is a connecting door between the two units. A lock-off also has it's own exterior entrance and a kitchenette. A dedicated does not have the entrance door and there is a closet in place of the kitchenette. The second bedroom of a lock-off also has it's own balcony whereas a dedicated does not have the second balcony.

Thank you guys!
Okay so is "close to HH "a bookable category, I don't see it when I search?

One more ,let's say I request- and are granted building 31. That guarantees me a lock off 2 bedroom vs dedicated?

I don't believe so... All buildings have a combination of studio, 1-bedroom, and 2 bedroom (dedicated)villas.
A "lock-off" 2-bedroom as BobNed said, is a 1-bedroom and a studio combined to make a 2-bedroom, so you have to request that type of configuration specifically no matter which building you are in.

The Hospitality House category is only available for DVC members who book using their points. It is not available for cash bookings. You can request "close" to HH, but it is only a request.

The type of villa you reserve is what you will get. If you specifically request a lock-off, that's what you will get (is available when you book). If you don't specifically reserve a lock-off, you will get a dedicated. There are both lock-off and dedicated in all buildings, so requesting a specific building has no bearing on what type of villa you get. It's all in what you reserve.

The door through the laundry room isn't what makes it a lockoff. It's the combination of a studio and one bedroom versus a full time two bedroom villa. The dedicated with not have the small porch of the second bedroom and no kitchenette in the second bedroom. Where the door to the outside would have been located you now have a large closet. There is a second sink just outside the bathroom where the kitchenette would be.

But the beds are the same. If you want the door through the laundry room to the master bathroom, request Turtle Pond or South Point. If you don't need the door through the laundry room, you can request Miller Road or Peninsular Rd.

I have a reservation through Disney (love the mil discount) for a 2-bedroom unit at OKW and the reservation does say "2 bedroom villa." That means it will be a dedicated and not a lock-off?

Yes, that is correct.
