Question about Ohana's at Poly

I would love to try and get ADR for the Luau at Ohana's but we are less than 28 days now and I read that the later you get a reservation- the worse your seats are, is this true?? It will just be my daughter and I and I thought this would be something different? Should I still try or forget it? Any advice please.

Actually the Luau & Ohana's are two separate places. The Luau is in the cove at the Poly, Ohana is inside and is a family style restaurant. If you want to try the Luau, I would just call Disney and ask them. I haven't heard of the Luau having assigned seating though, but then I've never been . Takes too much time for us.

I have heard that too, with the seating at the Luau. The ones who make the ADR first sit closer to the front. We got a last minute ADR two summers ago. We were in the very back.
