Question about # of Points Needed

I hope this is the right board to post this. . . so here is my question. If I were to rent a week's worth of points, would the rental be Sunday to Sunday? How about if I wanted to get points for additional weeknights, would I just need to factor in those points as well in determining how many points I would need for say, an 8 or 9 day stay? Thanks in advance for your help

At the top of this page is a link "DVC Points Charts." It will list all of the DVC resorts and the number of points per night for the different size units and in different seasons. You can rent any number of nights you wish. Just add up the points needed and then multiply by $10 - $12 to get an estimate of what your cost is likely to be. Then check out the Rent/Trade Board for a DVCer who has the right number of points to rent. Good luck.

To further clarify--you pick your dates. You do not have to start on Sunday nor do you have to end on Sunday. If your dates cross from one season into another the points will be charged according to the season in which each day falls.

Keep in mind that you will NOT actually be renting any points - as they are useless to anyone except the DVC member who controls them. You would be renting a reservation made using DVC points from a DVC member.

You'll need to post the dates, resort and villa type on the Rent/Trade Board in the form of a request. Be sure to use the correct title - in this case, "Reservation Wanted:" and then add any other information to make your request noticed (I'd suggest putting the dates and resort in the title and the villa type in the body of your post).

You can also respond to an offer by a member to make reservations (title would be "Points for Rent" or "Reservation for Rent".

I would suggest having an idea what your reservation would cost if reserved thru CRO and then you can compare the cost asked by the DVC member.
