Question about New Year's Eve cruise

My large family (over twenty of us) will be going on the 12/27/03 Eastern cruise. I was wondering what kind of activities (for adults and kids) does Disney usually have planned for New Year's Eve?

Also, the guys are concerned about watching football on New Year's Day. If we are at sea, is it possible to catch some of the games?

We got our docs the other day. The Welcome letter says NYE is black-tie optional and there will be activities from stem to stern. Bands and DJ's were mentioned.

It also says to wear your favorite team's jersey on New Year's Day, football will be the hightlight in many areas.
