Question about new park tickets

My first post and still confused with new park tickets if we purchase 4day ticket with out hopper option do we have to specify what park and what day we will be using them for. And if we go to MGM and leave to go and rest will we be able to go back to MGM that night on the same ticket. We never seem to use the hopper option when we had park hoppers in the past and adding the option seems like a waste.

Yes, you may reenter the same park in the same day on a "non hopper" pass,

No need to specify what park what day when you purchase, once you go in for the day, that's it,
