I have made many ADRs for 7 people for May, but it looks like we may only have a party of 6. They won't charge me, will they? I really do not want to have to call and change them all from 7 to 6. What do ya'll think?

As far as I am aware, in order to avoid being charged, you would need to call them.

I was just there in early March and was told by CMs at three different restaurants that they are not charging if your party is short of the number the ADR is for. We had an ADR for 6 at Cape May and only 5 came (MIL wasn't feeling up to going out for dinner) and it was no problem.

Now, if you know the week before your trip that it will be 6 instead of 7, you may want to call the dining line and get them to adjust all your ADRs down to 6, just to be safe. And if you get a CM who says they have to cancel the ADRs instead of just adjusting them, hang up and call back to get another CM.

I was wondering this too the other day and looked it up on the Disney Dining FAQ. If you look at the second to last question you should be fine. My ILs are joining us as they did on our last trip, but that time they got extremely ill two days in and didn't leave the room. So I wanted to make sure I was ready for anything.

THANK YOU.

In case anyone else is wondering this is what it said:

" I have a dinner reservation for 10 Guests at a restaurant that uses the credit card guarantee policy. Only 8 Guests are able to make it to dinner. Will I still be charged $10 each for the 2 Guests who were unable to attend?

No. As long as you honor the reservation, then there will be no charge to your credit card."
