question about MyPoints!

Hi Everyone! I have two possibly silly questions about MyPoints! I signed up last week and am now getting the emails to click through. My first question is... do I just open the email or do I need to click through the email to the webpage it's advertising? Also, I added the email address they gave me to my safe list but am still getting tons of emails in the junk folder. are these emails that get me points or should i only open the ones with their email? sorry, i've never done anything like this before and am quite confused on how to get as many points as possible. Thanks in advance for the help!

You actually have to open the email and click on the box (I think it says "Get points") in order to get the 5 points for reading the email. Also, if you are shopping through one of their emails, you must click the same box in order to get the bonus or points that are advertised in the email.

The only ones that give you MyPoints are the ones with their email. I've been with MyPoints for over 5 years and have NEVER received junk emails from them.
