I have placed a call to my doctor regarding these patches.

If you have used them, how do they work? Do they make you sleepy?

The nurse mentioned that you wear them for 3 days at a time ...

Any info you could give me would be great.

TIA!

Never have used them. My sister used to take a Dramamine before going on rides. It worked.

I've also seen folks wearing those wrist pressure bands for motion sickness. I think you can get those at the pharmacy.

Sorry I don't have more info for you on the patches. Best of luck to you!

I have never tried them on rides, but I used one once on a trip to Maine. I was carsick, put it on and felt like myself again. :thumbsup2 A few days later, we went out on a boat deep-sea fishing and I wasn't sick at all. I put it behind my ear and forgot about it- no side effects for me. Be careful to wash your hands if you touch it, if you rub your eyes they will get blurry.

I've used them on looooong plane rides. They work wonderfully! They didn't make me sleepy, but the pkg. says that could be a side effect. You aren't supposed to drink alcohol with them either.
For me, they are a lifesaver! I've never been on a cruise, but if I did, you bet I'd be calling my doctor for some of those little patches.

I have used those little wonders many times. I have gone on 2 cruises and one was exceptionally rough. I used the patches religiously (put them on a day before the cruise began). I never felt sleepy. A couple of times I would get a little blurry eyed (one side effect) but it didn't last long with me. They were great. When it was exceptionally rough I would get a little woozy, but never sick. I have also used them at WDW on rides and I was able to go on a couple of rides that I haven't attempted before (Rock & Rollin Rollercoaster). I still am not brave enough to try Mission Space with them, or even body wars (I was sick on that one before using the patch). One of my daughters liked them when she went on her cruise, one didn't care for them. They are sure worth trying. Some people love them, some hate them. You use one patch behind your ear for 3 days, put a new patch behind the other ear after 3 days and remove the first one. If you start not feeling the effect working it may be that the patch has become dislodged or folded over. Ask the doctor for a couple of extra's in case one comes loose before the 3 days is up. Have fun!

I asked my DD's ped about them and he said that they work good but they are not for children. She gets terrible motion sickness and since we have an 18 hour drive I thought it maybe better then giving her the Dramamine.
