Question about moles....

I read something on here a while back about them...I've always had several, but they've been checked frequently with no problems. Anyway, one of my larger ones has been hurting a lot lately. Could this be indicative of anything? I'm going to a dermatologist on Oct. 1st for info on microdermabrasion, but I'm going to ask him to look at my moles while I'm there just out of caution, but I thought I'd get some input here for peace of mind (it really hurts too!!) TIA and I hope no one is grossed out.

Definitely get it checked. Is it in a stress spot, could that be a reason for it hurting, like something is rubbing against it?

Yeah, it's in my armpit, of all places...I'm sure it's really attractive looking to people who aren't used to it...probably looks like dirt or something!
