Question about Mobile Ordering and using Disney dollars

I have some Disney Visa rewards dollars that I’d like to use for expenses at WDW. Ideally I’d like to charge everything to the room and settle up at the end with my Disney Visa rewards dollars. However, it struck me today that in the past, Mobile Ordering was linked to a credit card and not the room. Is this still the case? How can I make this work? Help!

Can't. Mobile ordering doesn't charge back to the room, but the credit card you give to them (or a gift card). I *believe* you might be able to add your Disney rewards card to mobile order, but since it's used like a gift card, it might not stay in the system and have to be re-entered every time you use it.

Your Disney Visa Rewards card works like a gift card. For mobile order, the best thing is to save the Rewards card number in a note on your phone. Then when time to pay, just copy and paste it into the GC space, and you’re good to go. Or to eat, as the case may be.

OP, I am in the same boat, so thanks for asking about this!
If it won't take the Visa Rewards card directly, perhaps purchasing a Disney GC with the Rewards Card and use that for mobile ordering. Seems kind of crazy to have to go through that extra step, but I also don't want to charge more to my credit card when I have available "free" dollars on the Rewards Card. I have read reports that the system won't keep card numbers in there, so you have to enter it each time. A tip was to keep the number in Notes on your phone so you can copy & paste it on the MO site instead of typing out the long string of digits each time.

I should have just looked on the site! There is a place in payments where you can save a gift card or rewards card as the method of payment! I pretended I was going to place an order and took it all they way to the payment page. So you should be able to permanently save it. Sweet!

Sounds great - just need someone to confirm the change to saving the GC number in the app, which would be new. The ongoing complaint has been that you have to enter the GC number every time, which led to the “save it as a note, then copy and paste” workaround.

When I was there at Thanksgiving, the Disney rewards number wouldn't save. I had to re-enter the number every time.
