Question about mnsshp

I'm also trying to figure out the logistics of skipping the first parade then getting a good spot for Hallowishes/the second parade. I'm sure I'll figure it out, but that as well as figuring out which Villains Mix and Mingle I definitely want to see are the only things stressing me out. :faint:

That's what I was thinking - couldn't figure out how I was going to squish onto the hub if all those 1st-parade-goers just fill it in as soon as their parade is over. I'm sure I'm overthinking it. As I like to do! :)

Once the parade is over, all the street real estate opens up for the fireworks. It's not terribly difficult to find a place to stand on Main Street for the fireworks after the first parade. It'll just be slow-going getting from one place to another.

Basically we are going to get our shopping done during the day and hopefully get fast passes for a little later in the day. I'm just afraid if we wait for the second parade, that we will not get a good spot for hallowishes

But if we get a good viewing area for that, I would not mind doing the second parade

Be aware that some themed merch is only available during party hours.

Yaaaa that I kinda figured. Kind of changes things. So do you recommend saving the rides for before the event?

Yes. You can ride everything in the park 365 days a year. The lone exception for many is HM itself, which of course goes all-out (on its exterior) during a Halloween-themed event. (The ride itself is unchanged.) Ride lines are relatively short, and there's a reason--the party is the point. But of course that means crowds at party events.

That's basically what we're doing. We are going to save hm for a night ride. Maybe near the tail end of the night after we have done the event stuff

You are over thinking it. It will be crowded for Hallowishes, but you will find a spot to watch it even if you skip the first parade. Know your priorities. If you want to meet characters, it takes a lot of time. Trick or treating is quick, even with long lines. They hand out big handfuls of candy, so it doesn't take long to have full bags. And, honestly, it is about the experience. How much candy can you eat or bring back home? The fireworks are the BEST part of the party, not to be missed. The parade is a very close second. Relax and have a great time!!

Thanks. Is there a link detailing all the stuff that goes on during the event

Oh and can I add the tickets to my order or do they require up front purchase

You have to pay for them the moment you order them. They are a "hard ticket" item and are not included with your vacation package.

I ordered mine the same day I booked our trip and I have already received the tickets in the mail :) :)

MNSSHP September 12th... here we come :thumbsup2

Wow. There's a lot to take in. Might have to do the trick or treating for the first half hour then stake out a spot before the parade. Do they usher people out right at midnight?

We did trick-or-treating at the very end, after the 2nd parade (Jelly actually passed out so we had a bag sitting on her lap in the stroller - he still managed to clean up). Also, it's still pretty warm, and I wouldn't want to have to carry around treat bags full of half-melted chocolate ;)

Thanks all. Where do the put the merch for the event? Is it spread out or in a single location

thanks all! Is the merch the same at all the locations or does it depend on where you are?

There's a lot of Halloween merchandise available all day long, but party exclusive items are typically limited to tee shirts, sweatshirts and pins so the same things are stocked at all the listed stores, although some things/sizes could be sold out at individual locations.

Once the parties start there will be many posting about the party and their experience. You'll be able to get a better idea of what you'll want to do, what to expect and how to plan your evening. Sounds like you're really excited and looking forward to MNSSHP. We always go twice because it's so much fun and along with F&W the reason fall is our favorite time to visit DW.

Are you able to have the party merch sent back to your resort like other souvenirs? Or do you have to take it with you? Just curious. Thanks :)
