I stood in line to get my family photo taken on the 28th and they gave me a photopass card. Now what? I tried to put it in online and it wants me to pay for it. Do we get a code somewhere to get the photo for free?

When I got the picture taken then the photographer just gave me the card and said this is what you need.

:confused3

You didn't fill out a form with your name and address? That is what is used to get the free photos. They will mail them shortly thereafter.

Photopass cards are not the free photo for MNSSHP. For this one we had to go in line in a special place at the park... don't remember where but you had to fill out a mailing label, then go to the photo spot. Just a halloween background (I think it was purple fabric with pumpkins all over), they take the picture and tell you that you will get it by mail. Photopass cards are given in any park any time, not just for the MNSSHP and they are kind of pricey

And where was this form?

I stood in the long line at the photo location that was between Hauted Mansion and Small World.

When I got through the line all they gave me was the Photopass card.

Everyone was handed a form in line and you put your name and address on it. They take it from you when you are about to get your picture taken.

This is really strange. Never heard of this happening before. We were at the part Oct 2 (and in years past) and it's always been a form and they mail you your free photo.

We got our photo inside the HoP. They gave us the form as we stood in line. Once we filled it out we were directed to one of several different photographers. After they took the picture they gave us a carbon copy receipt of the form. They were not using the photopasses at all.

Did you have the purple backdrop with mickey pumpkins and ghosts with mickey ears?

No I apparently stood in line for 'non-free' photo. Several other people waiting in line thought they were waiting for the free photo also. I even asked the photographer what I needed to get the free photo and she gave me the card and said this was all I needed.

Sounds like I got messed out of our free photo....

I know I wasn't the only one who thought these long lines were for the free photos.

I'm curious, what was your picture with or near or what was behind you? WAs there a backdrop?

What a bummer. I'm so sorry you missed the free photo!!!

I would try to give Disney CS a call, can't hurt, explain what happened, maybe, just maybe they can send you a free 4*6 of the photo. Last year the photo location were marked on the map, I noticed this year they were not. Confusing.

Thanks for all the replies. I have contacted Disney and I will see what they will do. I also noticed they weren't on the map, so I thought I was standing in the correct line.

It is iritating, but what can you do. I really enjoyed the party on the 28th and we would do it again.

It was a sell out on the 28th, but we didn't have any trouble with lines or crowds.

Our photo wasn't in front of a purple backdrop. It was in front of some carriage (could have been Cinderella's).

If it was in front of a carriage, that wasn't the free photo.

They do bring out Cinderella's carriage. It used to be displayed behind the Castle with the Princesses out for photos/autographs but I didn't see it this year.

That must be what it was.

We were at the MNSSHP the 30th and got our free picture in the mail today. Very FAST. We did it Adventureland. Everytime we passed near a photospot cast memberes were trystanding outside ushering people into the lines. we had to assure several that we had taken ours already. Too bad you missed the free photo op. It wasn't the greatest quality ever, but it was free.

chrissy

I know there was a photo set up over by the ferry that we stood online for at first, we thought that was the correct line. They were doing the pic's with the haunted mansion cars as your set up. After waiting online for about 15 mintues, we found out it wasn't the free one. The CM's made no attempt to inform anyone. It wasn't until the guests in front of us questioned & we over heard. We walked away all together.. wonder if this is what may have happened to you as well..

Thanks for all the info and the replies.

As usual Disney made it right when they contacted me about this. Too bad all companies don't have customer service like them.

We had our photo taken there as well on the 20th. There was quite a line up but it was for photo pass. That's too bad you missed the free photos.
