How early should you get to the gates for entry into DL? Also, since we'll be staying at the DLH, can we just take the monorail in? Which would get us in quicker and easier? :)

I believe what I was told was that the monorail doesn't start running until MM starts, so if you want to be in the park when MM starts, you should plan on walking those mornings.

Most people have found that using the monorail for MM will put them behind the crowds and that is better to walk to the gates early.

How early? Well, here are some guidelines. If you want to do Nemo during MM then it still appears that 40 minutes early is a good idea. If you want to do the FL rides, then 20-30 minutes early is fine and you will be among the first into FL.

My exact experience and advice as well. . . :thumbsup2

I think we're going to go the FL route for MM, and then try Nemo later in the evening.

Thanks for the info! I guess we'll get there around 30 minutes early. :)

That's a good plan. :thumbsup2

Mid week, 25-30 min. early is good.

Weekend or mid summer, I'd be there 30-35 min early. (if you want to be one of the first on PP....& you WANT to be one of the first on PP ;))

The time flies:

- Everyone is happy.
- Munch on breakfast items.
- check & recheck your maps, etc.
- apply various lotions & sunscreens.
- sneak away for some pics at the DISNEYLAND letters.
- double knot sneakers on the little ones.

etc. :yay:

We always get there right on time or a few minutes after MM starts. The lines are very short then, and since most people go to Nemo or Space Mountain (and a bunch to Peter Pan) we just head to Fantasyland and ride everything there. If the Peter Pan line is short, we jump in. We can do all Fantasyland rides within one hour that way.

This sounds really stupid, but where is Peter Pan? In all the times I've been there, I haven't seen it yet, or if I did, I didn't realize that's what it was.

I have a few questions that I am hoping to get answered about this too, is MM the same as EE? Staying at Carousel in March and they say when you buy a three or more park hopper you get one EE and TTMM that have to be used the same day. So we were going to use them on Tuesday and try and do the FL rides and then TTMM, it says the park opens at 8, so we should be able to get in the park at 7, correct? But then my question is what time would TTMM be, would that be at 8 or 9? Do you think an hour would be long enough to do the FL rides before TTMM? Thanks in advance for your help.:goodvibes

I have the same question, because we only have one day at DL, so we need to do MM & TTMM on the same day.

My FL must do's are:

Peter Pan
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Alice in Wonderland
Dumbo

If we head straight there and do those rides, would we be done in time to make it for TTMM?

One more (maybe dumb!) question:

When you take monorail into DL from the DLH, where does it drop you off? Is there only one spot, or is it like the train that has a few pick-up/drop off locations?

Peter Pan is, I believe, the very first queue you come to in Fantasyland entering through the castle. It's on the right.

EE = Early Entry, and it's now called MM = Magic Mornings.

jnjusoioa, I should know this, but you bought a package? That's where the MTTMM vouchers would come from. They told you you had to do them on the same day? MM is held 4 days a week, and MTTMM is as well, and I think they are on the same day *twice* a week.

MM means that DL opens an hour early before it opens to the general public.

MTTMM means that those with vouchers get in an hour before toontown opens to the general public. It opens to the general public an hour after DL opens.

So let's say DL opens at 9. That means MTTMM would start at 9, but the general public doesn't get in to TT until 10. Magic Morning would have started at 8. Assuming you got to the gates early and are among the first through...you could most certainly do those rides (peter pan first!) inside of the hour of MM, and then as 9 o'clock approached make your way over to ToonTown (to the left of Small World) for that.

But if there's any way to do it on a different day, go for that option. It seems like SO much to do inside of 2 hours, and it might make the rest of the mornings a bit boring! :)

chickybanky, there are two stops for the monorail. Once is the stop near the DLH, across from the Lego store (if memory serves). The other stop is above Nemo, next to Autopia, in Tomorrowland. Puts you off in the stroller parking for Nemo. :)

Thank you for your help. I did not buy a package for my trip in March, I did for my one in Dec. so I know for sure that I have the MTTMM, however I called the Carousel Inn & Suites where I will be staying in March and they said that with a purchase from the hotel of a 3 or more day park hopper I receive MM and one MTTMM, which have to be used in the same day, I might call back to double check on that but that is what she said. I hope she is right, does anyone else have any insight into this. Thank you so much.:goodvibes

Oh, so you still have the vouchers from December? I used our "preferred seating" for shows vouchers from September's package on our trip in December. :) Oh but wait, isn't the expiration for those MTTMM vouchers on 1/31?

I'd call back to Carousel to get confirmation of what they said about MTTMM being offered through the hoppers...things might very well have changed and they might be offering MTTMM with 3 day parkhoppers (that would be cool!), but so far I've only heard of them being available by ordering a package (or through ebay or the thread here, but of course no one has gotten the new vouchers for after Feb 1 yet on that thread). It would be very interesting to know if they are offering it in other ways now!

Bumbershoot is correct. PP is on the right after you go THROUGH the castle. Just before you get to the Carousel.

Always best to ride PP first (preferably one of the first 10-15 families) & then you're good to go on the FL tour.

The recommended FL tour is:

- PP (always first :))
- Dumbo
- Alice
- Matterhorn (you can possibly ride both sides if FL is empty).
- Teacups/Mr. Toad (either order)
- Carousel/Pinocchio/Snow White (any order).

If you don't get to the final 3 rides, they can be easily ridden later. You should have no trouble riding the first 6-7 rides during MM/EE....assuming you're one of the first 10-20 families on PP. & try to avoid bathroom or picture breaks until after the first 3 rides (or at all).

fwiw - Since only "one day at DL" , If multiple adults, i would send a runner to SM or Indy at Gen. Adm opening (while the rest walk to ToonTown) to pick up FPs. You really should try to have 2-3 FPs in your pocket by noon.

Have fun. :thumbsup2

No, actually I am going this coming Dec. 2008 but I will have vouchers through Costco, they had the best rates. But Carousel says that when you buy your tickets at the hotel, you get one MM and one MTTMM but they have to be used on the same day, I am hoping they have this right but will call back to find out at a later time, but the lady put me on hold for quite awhile while she went and checked so we'll see. :)

IMO - (given your other questions)....do NOT take the monorail on your MM/EE FL day. (Not if you're trying to max out on FL). Use your feet & line up 25-35 min. ahead of MM/EE opening. (& turn around at MM/EE opening & see how long the line is then.)

Ok, now I'm really confused. Are you purchasing a package through Costco? If so, why are you "buying" your tickets at the hotel?

Looks like jnjusoioa is going twice. March at the Carousel, and December with a package. :)

I'm staying at the Carousel next weekend (would have gone with HoJo but I got nervous and decided to stay as close across the street as I could AND I got a good price), so I was doodling around on their website. Their disneyland info portal here is worded so sneakily! They don't mention MTTMM, but they word it like the EE (aka MM) with the 3+ day hoppers is something only THEY provide. Sneaky.
