Question about minimum

Who is resonsible for making sure I hit my minimums, Disney or me? I have asked my planner a couple of times and never got an answer on if we are meeting it or not. I don't want to get to the end and get handed a bill making up what we did not spend when if I had known ahead of time, I could have spent the money on something for the day. I can add it up on my own, but I don't know their exact rules and their calculations and mine are totally different so I want to make sure it is correct. I would assume that they are keeping track of it, but you know what happens when you assume......

On another note, when you sign your BEO and pay your final payment is that it? Unless you add something or spend more on the bar, of course. But I am afraid that they will find something that they "forgot" to charge me for and I will have a bill at the end of it that I did not expect.

Can anyone help me answer this?

I think it's a little of both. You should make sure to reach your minimum so your not spending the money for absolutely nothing, but your planner should inform you if you have yet to meet the minimum. You will get your BEO early enough in advance so you know where you stand on your minimum and if you need to add to meet it or take away to be closer to it.

Our planner is great on keeping us updated on our BEO. We're way over our minimum so I haven't had to worry about meeting it.

In regards to getting totals the sales tax in Florida is 6.5%. Any food or beverage items will have sales tax and gratuity included. ( Disney gratuity is 21%)

Hope that helps!

I am 1 1/2 out now from our VR and I have not heard from her about it, even though I asked twice. Your right, I don't want to spend the money on absolutely nothing!

And you have to remove the sales tax and gratuity because that is not included in the minimum, correct?

Tax that stuff are not included.

Just a note, make sure you are tracking things on your own as well! I knew I was under by about $165 and I wanted to add something in to just hit the minimum (I picked linens, it was easy) but when I emailed them, they told me I was OVER. I had to email my planner and her assistant my spreadsheet to have them reconcile the difference. Turns out I was right, but I'd hate for them to be mischarging you!

Just a follow up - My final payment is due soon so I asked for an updated copy of the BEO as of current and I actually found 4 mistakes on it where I was overcharged. They had no problems adjusting it (well... probably because I was correct), but make sure you look it over! And carefully!
