Question about military tickets

We're going this year with the special military tickets (5 day pass for military/retired military member, up to five additional 5-day passes for friends/family). We're doing the park hopper plus water park option.

Has anyone here used these tickets? We'll be buying the tickets in advance at our military base, and I know we have to have them "activated" or something when we get to the parks. Will they give us the same kind of "swipe card" tickets that we had last time we went (on a regular room/ticket package)? Just wondering so I know what to expect -- have to be sure I can get FastPasses!

You'll be able to get fast passes. I do know that all persons in your party have to be present to activate them...not sure what kind of card they give you either. I haven't used these yet, I'm using one day in May and the last 4 in september. Also, I know the military member has to be present only when activating them, and tell them what base they're attached to. That's all I know so far, there's more info in the theme parks thread
