Question about ME and timing of luggage

Hi everyone! We're flying in fairly late on June 20 and checking in to POP when we arrive (landing at 7:30 p.m.) Does anyone know approximately how long it takes to get your luggage delivered? Our issue is we're doing EMH at MK the next morning and transferring to POFQ (our original resort - when we added a day, it had no vacancy) sometime that day. Sooooooo, I'm just hoping that our luggage gets there before we check out in the morning to head over to MK! Does that all make sense? We've never had too much of a problem with it arriving - usually it's within a couple of hours, but I just worry sometimes about timing! What do you think?

The time is usually quoted as aproximately 3 hours to deliver luggage. Personally at that time of arrival I would not use the ME tags and go grab my luggage, because I'd likely be bedding down early so as to make the most of the next full day.

If you don't need the luggage (All your first day stuff is in your carryon.) stop by the luggage drop off and ask them to hold it over night. Then in the morning go over and let them know it is to be transfered over to POFQ.

As prior poster said, 3 hours. And good idea to just grab it yourself and take it on the bus instead of using the DME tags.
But it would definitely be there that evening sometime at your room - well before switching resorts next day.

Last trip we arrived at Pop and as we got off the ME bus at Pop, my girls said mom, there's our luggage! Kind of an easily recognizable print on one of our bags - it was in a big rack thing with tons of luggage, seems was arriving same time we were. But then still have to figure in they gotta get it all sorted and what goes to what room and have the time to get it to you.

If your flight arrives, ontime, at 7:30pm, you should be at Pop by 8:45-9pm. Your bags are supposed to arrive 3-4 hrs after resort checkin...so you could get your bags as late as midnight. If it were me, I would leave the bags untagged, and get them myself, at baggage claim.
I have an issue with baggage handling at Pop. They don't run bags out to rooms continually....it's much less frequently than other resorts. And the baggage handling area is closed down late at night until early morning. So, if your bags get there around midnight, they may not be taken to your room until early the next morning.
If you don't tag your bags, you can get them yourself, bring them to the DME bus with you and you'll have them in hand when you checkin.

To get them moved the next day....take your bags with you when you head out to EMHs. Take them to the Luggage Assistence area at POP. They can then get the bags moved over to PO for you. But plan on it taking a few minutes.....plan accordingly so you make it to EMHs on time.

Oh, great advice, everyone! Thank you so much! I agree with grabbing our bags ourselves. That makes good sense. Thank you!!! :goodvibes

Just to clarify: ALL the Value resorts handle luggage the same way - All Star Sports, All Star Music, All Star Movies, Pop Century, and when Art of Animation opens, they'll follow the same practices.

These properties offer Luggage Assistance, not Bell Services. The hours are more limited, as goofy4tink describes - although this shouldn't matter to anyone with properly-packed carry-on luggage - and they can't come running when you call.

It should be noted that it's good travel etiquette to tip anyone who handles your luggage... such as a bus driver stowing bags that normally wouldn't even get near the bus ;) (or carry-ons to large for the passenger compartment).

Absolutely....all the values fall into this same category. Sorry, I should have been more specific.
