Nevermind- I went on the website and did a chat session with a CM named Vera. She was very helpful and explained that as long as any changes we make happen earlier than 45 days prior and as long as we don't try to change the dates to something in the free dining blackout dates, that our free dining would be honored even after 12/20/10. I've been lurking on these boards for a while- but this is my first time posting. I hope I picked the right place to post this....
I just wanted to ask all of you experts a questions about reservation changes!
Currently my dbf and I are booked for 7 nights and 8 days in September 2011 at WL under the free dining promotion. I know that in general, we can make changes to the reservation up until 45 days before? However, the free dining required booking prior to 12/20/10. My question is- if we need to change our dates slightly or by some sad chance need to downgrade to a mod resort AFTER 12/20/10, will we be able to and still keep the dining?
Basically I have two concerns- 1. My boyfriend just moved here to MA from Michigan, so he has just began a new job. He is confident he will be able to take this vaca, but we might end up needing to change the dates a bit. Currently I have us booked for a Thurs-Thurs. And we might need to lose a night and do a mor e traditionaly Sun-Sat.
2. Cost. I think we can afford the trip as is. But, if money gets tight and it looks like we can't afford it, I would like to be able to change to a moderate, but keep the free dining.
The way the trip is now is the way I WANT to keep it. But, forces beyond our control might force us to make changes. I just need to know if we would be able to make those changes later. If not, I might just have to make them now, just in case. But, I would hate to do that and then find out next summer that we could have had the dream vacation afterall. Know what I mean?
