question about magical express

Hi-- we used the Magical Express on our last trip and had a GREAT experience! On our next trip, however, we would like to rent a car and stay on Disney property. We found that the park buses were just too much with a double stroller.. plus we like the freedom of eating at other resorts at wdw.

My question is... is it possible for you to have one person in your party (dh) go and rent a car and then have the other four (me and 3 kids) take Magical Express back to the hotel? This way my DH would not have to haul all those bags and us to the rental car place at the airport and we could just simply meet up with him at the hotel.

Is this allowed?

Yes... Just let them know who needs DME when you book and they will set it up for them. You do not have to have the entire party utilizing the service.

Rather than rent the car at MCO, I would use DME for everyone, and then rent a car at either the CCC or the Dolphin, and then return it at the end of your stay and ride DME back to MCO.
