question about luggage transfers

We are splitting our stay between compt. and ak. Can we get our luggage transfered at check out to Ak. While we go off to the park? Will it be at Ak when we check in there? If anyone has done this I would love to hear feed back.

yes, you can arrange w/bell services to transfer your luggage. usually it is there around/after 3 pm. it has always been our experience that we had to be in our room before it is delivered.

I've only tried this once, they lost my luggage, and it wasn't found and delivered to me until after 6:00pm. Really messed up our evening as we had dinner reservations at a restaurant that it would have been inapporpriate to arrive in our park clothes which were also wet due to a thunderstorm.

The GF swore they had delivered it, the BW swore it hadn't arrived, then the GF told the BW that they "might" have delivered it to the wrong resort, but didn't know which one. What a mess.

turned out the GF had put it into "long term" storage...they found it only after the GM at the BW made a phone call to the GF manager.

Now I move my own bags.

Just did this last week.....worked GREAT.

We left the Poly concierge and had it transferred to the AKL with absolutely no problems. They said it would be there after 1 and before 3 - it was! Worked great - everything was labelled by the poly staff.......would do it again!

Did this a couple weeks ago, and it worked wonderfully.

We went from ASSp to AKL. The night before checkout we told the luggage assistance desk (right outside main entrance) what we needed. We did the express check-out from ASSp, so no need to go to the front desk. I was a little apprehensive about just leaving our bags in the room and heading to the parks, but when we went to check-in that evening at AKL, our bags were already in our room. It was great not to have to worry about it.
