Question about loops

I recently had a double knee replacement and I am doing quite well and should be in good shape by the fall when we go to DW. Is there a loop or two where we would have access to the water transportation and also a bus without having to walk too far?

I would suggest loops 100 and 200. 200 is tight so if you have a big rig it could be difficult, but we have a 29 ft. class c and it was perfect for us. The sites are close together, but nothing like some state parks I have been in.

These loops (esp. 100) are connected to the settlement trading post and marina by a short pathway. I would recommend you getting a golfcart for your stay, even without the surgery I found it to be a must.

Good luck with the recovery.

As suggested 100 and 200 are probably your best bet. 700 loop is pretty close by as well. Short of getting those, request a site near transportaion and you will be placed close to a bus stop.

See the "Sticky" for the Map of Ft. Wilderness. You'll get a better idea of the lay of the land!!

There is no bus stop for the 100, 200, 400, or 700 loops, due to their proximity to the Settlement Area. All the other loops have bus stops. You can make a request to be placed near a bus stop - but remember that the internal busses run until 2am, which may disrupt your sleep.

Thanks des954. I would rather walk a ways to get the bus rather than they keep me awake until 2 am. I am a light sleeper.
