Question about Le Cellier and dining in general

I just made a lunch ADR at Le Cellier, I've been eyeing up one of the chicken dishes that looks really good. Is here a dress code? i've read in some places things that made me think there was, I hope not, since we are staying offsite and would hate to go home and change just for lunch. Also, is this a place that's okay for kids? My last question.. In general, my son who is 4 is VERRRY picky.. I mean, so picky, I've contemplated getting him checked out by a doctor. He will only eat PB&J and toast. Will this be a problem here if he doesn't eat anything? What about some of the other buffets? i've seen some of the buffets offer PB&J, so those were the places we've made ADR's at. Before people yell at me about raising a picky child, please know that i've done everything I could do to get him to eat. He'll wait me out when I want him to eat something and tell him if he doesn't eat what I make him, he won't eat.. He'll not eat for a full day and it doesn't bother him. I've also tried to make him eat stuff and in that case, he throws it all up. I'm at a loss here. I just don't want to pay for a dinner that I KNOW he won't eat.

LOL! I dont think anyone will yell at you for your childs pickiness. LOL! :lmao: Dont worry! Some kids are super picky, but nobody knows why? i have friends like that too. what can you do right?

First off, ppl normally wear "park wear" at le cellier...since it is in epcot, you really cant avoid it. So dont worry!!! Ive gone in there with shorts and tanks, ditto for my son. You'll fit right in, trust me.

And yes, that place is fine for kids. But re: your PB&J issue....there are some counterservice places that sell them. So you could easily buy them before going to le cellier, and let him eat it when your dinner arrives. Also, have you checked out the kids menu??? If nothing appeals to him, you can always call the disney line or email them your question/concerns. They are so good at returning your email. i've complained about stuff twice via email, and each time i've recieved a phone call in return THE NEXT DAY! Im pretty sure they could accommodate your son. Good luck to you! :)

My daughter was recovering from a stomach bug in disney a few years ago and we had ADRs at Le Cellier. She wanted to eat bland. I called the restaurant directly and asked if she could have chicken broth. The chef I spoke to was so kind and assured me they get special requests all of the time. DD was super happy since she loves LC and especially the pretzel bread.

It doesn't hurt to give a call.

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure there's only one chicken dish at lunch for Le Cellier, the chicken crepe. I'm pretty much just a chicken eater so my selection was really limited. This thread has a picture of what I had in May.

To answer your question, you can wear what you wear to the park especially to lunch there.

At DL (have not been to WDW) my kids eat nothing while DH and I eat. Or sometimes they have water or a soda or sometimes get icecream.

Often I find they are hungry before us or just dont want what is offered on the menu, so I pack them a PB&J to eat when they are hungry.

I dont think I have every had them eat food from home or another restaunt while in a different restraunt and not sure I think it is OK to eat food not bought in the restraunt you are in (unless you are feeding a baby or toddler)

You can wear anything to the restaurant in the parks. There is no dress code. As long as it's not a buffet, you don't have to order a meal for your child. At a buffet they will charge you no matter how little or at all they eat.

I was hoping that the sandwich would be on there too but it wasn't after all the menu and category changes that happened in March. So I didn't see it on the lunch menu in May unfortunately. :confused3
