Question about layout of your WDW scrapbooks?

I just started scrapbooking last month. I can't believe how much I enjoy it! I'm almost done with my childrens book. Then I am doing one for vacations and myself. I've been thinking about putting all my WDW photos in new books as well.

What I'm wondering is...when you do a book for your WDW vacation, do you lay it out according to how the vacation went ( day by dat, etc.) or do you lump everything together ( MK, Epcot, etc.)? Just wondering what the best layout would be. I understand it's mostly personal preference, but I'm sure you guys have done enough that you know what looks best in the book!!

I have about 5 Disney trips to scrapbook and I tend to group things together rather than doing it chronologically (but do each trip separately). For example, if we go to MK 3 different days, I will put those days together in one MK spread. I just did a characters page using the character pictures from different parks. But there's no rigid way to do it. I take all my pictures from one trip and kind of group them in the way I think they will go. Also, since I have pictures from 3 major trips, I feel free to use the scenery pictures from all of them and put them wherever they work the best, or to fill in blank spots on a page.

I do each trip in it's own album. I have grouped the pages in sections (by parks, etc.), and also in chronological order. The trips that we're there over a week tend to be in groupings, while the week or shorter is easier to do chronological. You will find a system that works for you once you start laying all your pictures out. Have fun it's such a wonderful hobby.

For our first family trip, I did the book chronologically. Then I took my "leftover" photos and made the last 2 pages a collection titled "Travis Knows His ABCs ... Disney Style!" and then used Disney alphabet stickers to title each of the 26 photos. Ds was 5 at the time so it worked! LOL

The books I've done since then I've grouped by subject: resort, park, characters, etc.

Good idea, saturday97! On our 2 WDW trips I've done a journal each evening of what we did each day and the kids' favorites, where we ate...
Then I put it in the scrapbook as the last 2 pages. It's been fun to read through and it helps explain the trip to family members when they see it.

Thanks for all the replys!!! What great ideas you guys have!!! I'm not sure what way I'll do it. I guess first I'll have to decide if I want to tackle that project. If I'm still going like I am now I'll have it done in no time flat. I still can't believe how much I am enjoying this.

Thanks again...I took notes from everyones post, so I'll have the ideas once I get my other books done.

I made my first 2 pages a CAST of CHARACTERS layouts with photos of each person and there age! Then I tended to do a lot chrolnologically except: I grouped all the hotel pictures in the beginning, and all the pool pictures for one layout! THen I made a section with just all thecharacter pictures (then grouped by park) in the section!
Its whatever works for you I quess!

THis was easy as we didn't park hop to much - one park a day - twice to MK.

When I first started scrapping, I included my Disney pages in the family album. I am going to a crop this weekend and I gathered all the photos from my Feb 2001 trip. I figure I have 65 layouts(keep in mind that I took these photos before I started scrapbooking). I am going to do it in order of parks: Magic, Epcot, MGM, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios. We also have this bizarre habit of naming our vacations, so that will be the title of my album. I will let you all know how many pages I complete this weekend.
Our next trip was in August 2001 and I was already bitten by the scrapbook bug, so I have tons of photos.
