Question about Las Vegas

Hey MJ! Vegas in July! Have a ball! Stay where you want to stay. I let my friends tallk us into doing the buget "off strip" location, and it was terrible. It was over New years, so not at all hot, but it was still a very long walk. I can't imagine what it would be like to walk that far in July heat! We would have had to toake a cab, and at those $$, you can afford the extra to stay on the strip.

We went again last June/July and stayed at Paris. It was 114! and we had a ball. Like you said, lots of water, and ducking in and out of casinos for some relief. We had to take a taxi from Paris to Bellagio for dinner. It is directly across the street but was too hot to do (walk) in formal wear. The cab ride cost us 15 dollars!

Stay on the strip. See Mystere. Or check out Zoomanity at NYNY. (Then tell me how it is :teeth: ) Many of the hotels have free attractions, like the pirate ship in front of TI, recently re-done for a more "sophisticated" audience. Ceasars has an animatronic show. MGM has the lions. Mandalay Bay has shark reef (not free). Luxor has the TUT recreation. There is just too much to mention. Elton John at ceasar's alternating with Celine Dion. You will have so much fun. Stay close to the action, or you will spend extra time and $$ getting to it! ::yes::

We went to Las Vegas last July, and it was around 110 degrees every day. Make sure you drink plenty of water.

I would check into Paris. We stayed there last year at $89/night. They often have specials if you call the hotel direct, or even on their website. TI and Paris both have grea locations, but I think Paris is a little bit nicer.
