question about lanyards

Hello.

I wanted to know if you can purchase a universal or IOA lanyard on line.

We are going in a few weeks for our daughters 12th birthday, she does not know yet . Our plan is to have her birthday party the day before we go, and I thought that putting a ' fake' pass ( getting AP's there ) on a lanyard would be a great way of letting her know that she is going to IOA for the first time for her birthday present.

The only lanyard I seem to find at the IOA central store come with pins, are these the only ones that are available.

From all the great info. I have read on these boards I thought the lanyards are a great way to carry the FOTL cards.

i use the lanyards to carry our FOTL cards- and this is so handy

i don't know about the IOA lanyards but i have a couple of new lanyards at home & would be happy to mail out to you for no cost

sorry not trying to hijack the thread just a couple of questions

1. where is this IOA central store you mentioned is it online??

and
2. is there pin trading in Universal Orlando the same as in WDW?

Good news! Universal and IoA have just started pintrading with the employees. They have lanyards and you can pick any pin to trade just like at WDW. Since this is new, not all of the employees have theirs yet but soon...soon.

There is also an email if you want an item that they don't have on the website. They will pick it up for you.

Do they have a lanyard with a Sponge Bob theme or a Dr. Seuss. ?
If they do can I ask for this over the above mentioned site and have it shipped out ?

Jen, I can look for you. I think onsite at Universal/IoA they have a Seuss one and I know they have a Spiderman. I haven't seen a Sponge Bob but I could look for you and get a price. Do you just want the strap with a clip on the end or are you looking for one that has a wallet/ID thingy attached to the lanyard?

I'll be there on Saturday and can check for you. I'll also see if there is anyway to order directly from Universal Studios. I don't mind shopping for anyone though if Universal doesn't accept mailorders. I'm at the parks several times a week. I was there this morning but won't be back until Saturday though.

Thank you Bev that would be great as long as it is not a big problem for you.

I guess it really doesn't matter with or without the wallet / ID thingy at the end.
Can't we punch holes in our AP's or is this not a good idea.

I'll look for both kinds on Saturday and find out the price. Punching a hole in the card works fine. I like the wallet because I carry my money, credit card, and drivers license in it. Then I don't have to carry a purse, but, for your kids, it wouldn't matter.

I have yet to stay at an onsite hotel. This oct 12th at the RPR will be our first.

But from what I have read here on these boards Yes they will punch it for you, I believe all you have to do is ask.

Ap's and room key cards are a hard plastic like material i don't get the hole punching. I just put them down in my plastic pouch with no problem. I got a lanyard last year during HHN's that's orange and it says HHN's on it. I can't wait to take it back!
