Question about Language

Only ever been to Disney World Florida and am wondering about the language on the rides (I understand the signs are in both french & english, and that many people there speak both also) but wondering about the language spoken on some of the rides (like POTC) is it spoken in french only. Some of the rides i realize dont matter what language. Just curious abouut what to expect.

theres not really much speaking at all in the ride on POTC at DLP.
Phantom Manor is brilliant - French then English.

Tower of Terror is very well done - the pre-ride sequence is either a French screening with English subtitles, or vice versa (ie sometimes its one, sometimes its the other).

When you get to the ride part, all instructions are given in French then repeated in English.

The only ride I distinctly remember having problems with language on is Star Tours - the dialogue during the ride is in French, so a lot of the storyline is lost on me... Not had any problems otherwise!

I got both French or English on the ride. I don't know if it's random or if the CM can choose to switch to English if he sees many english people in the loading area.
I certainly got English when I was with a large group and we spoke to the CM in English.

I found for Star Tours I don't really need to know what's being said, as you can mainly see what happens.

Phantom Manor on the other hand ... Been going since 2004, and I still have no clue what so ever, what the story is about :/

This video on youtube will help explain the story of the ride and so does this article on Wikipedia. I wish they would use the Vincent Price narration once in a while.
