I'm leaning toward eating at Kimonos next week and paying OOP. I have some questions about the place though.

1. Do they take reservations? I see that you can't make reservations through the Disney website. Can you call them directly and make reservations?

2. Can you pay with a Visa Reward card? If not, can you charge the meal to your room?

3. I know there used to be a certificate on restaurant.com. I can't find it now. Is it no longer a participating restaurant? If they do still have them and I'm just not looking in the right place, can you use a certificate with a 20% off DVC discount, or is it one or the other?

TIA!

I do not believe that you can charge Kimonos to a Disney resort hotel room.

They do not accept the Disney Visa Rewards Card as payment. You can, however, pay with any major credit card (including the Disney Visa).

The restaurant.com certificates are not combinable with any other discounts. I don't know if the certificates are termporarily gone from the website or are no longer offered. I used one at the beginning of November (one of the $45 minimum spend ones) and it was accepted. I'm not a DVC member so I can't verify that they participate in the DVC discount. I know they do not participate in the AAA discount, but do participate in Tables In Wonderland.

If you are a Starwood Preferred Guest member and are not staying at the Swan or Dolphin, you can submit your meal receipt to get Starpoints credit for dining at the property.

Restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin do not accept either Disney Visa reward dollars OR Disney resort room key charges.

You can only charge the meal back to your room if you are staying at the Swan or Dolphin.

Kimonos does participate in the DVC discount. There is a thread on the DVC board from someone who just reported on it yesterday. As noted, they do accept Tables in Wonderland.
