We always make sure the kids are well rested at night and ready to go for the morning. Never had a kid fall asleep in the morning on our way to the parks. To me, that would signify that we weren't letting the kid get enough rest. We have no need to have an exhausted child in the parks. Yes, our 2 1/2 year old took a nap in the stroller while we were in the parks, but not when we were entering in the morning, or when we would come back after a break. We waited until everyone was awake and well rested. If my kid was falling asleep on the way to the parks, yes, I'd go back and let that child get some more rest.
