The last 2 times we went to WDW we used the DDP so I never paid much attention to price.
The next time we go, we will not be using the dining plan and wondered if my DD can get just a child's entree?
She doesn't ever eat the appy because it was always a salad or chicken noodle soup which she likes okay but not every day, so most of the time she just said not to bring it out.
I hate to pay for food she won't eat, so was hoping she could just get the entree portion and pay accordingly.

We've always just ordered alacarte for our kids and paid accordingly. I did notice on the allears.net menus that a few of the restuarants (KONA) was one- that had it all spelled out with a full meal with everything but they also had alacarte items.

Your DD's over 9, right? I don't think they care how old you are, if as an adult you want to order a kid's meal you can get it. But any buffets or character meals, where you pay one price no matter what you eat, you'll have to pay the adult price for her

My DD has a small appetite but expensive tastes! No mac and cheese or hot dog with fries for her. She usually orders an appetizer off the adult menu as her entree. We've never had a restaurant raise an eyebrow because she only had an appetizer.

You can order whatever you want, so long as you pay for it. Appetizers aren't required. :) I'm pushing 40 and order off the kids menus sometimes! At the buffets, everyone pays the same price no matter how much they do (or don't) eat.

My DD is 8.

I thought the kids meals were priced something like 7.49 for appy, entree and dessert.
