Question about Kids Club on Castaway Cay

Hi all,

I am in the beginning stages of planning my first cruise and had a question regarding the kids club. I would like to take the kayak tour in the afternoon and leave DS (who will be 3 next year) at the kids club. Would I be back in time from the tour to pick him up by 3:00 pm? (which is the time listed on the navigators). I'd rather do the afternoon kayak tour as that's usually his nap time. Are there any mats so he could sleep as opposed to play? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Melodie

P.S. In a separate matter, is the cruise trip report section only 2 pages? I'd read a report that specifically mentioned the kayak tour on Castaway Cay and it seems to have disappeared/dropped off?

MelAnderson -

I'll leave the time question to someone else.

But as for the list lenghth, look at the bottom of your list screen and change it from the current length (i.e. last day, last 2 days etc.) to the desired length. It is a pull down list up to "the beginning", I have seen this time change for no reason.

Hope this helps !!

There are no mats at Scuttles Cove at CC. I don't really see how the kids could take a nap there. There is sand and umbrellas & tents for shade & trees. That was about it...but DS had a blast & didn't want to leave. I had to drag him out so that he could go in the water with us. :)

Hi,

If your DS is going to be in the Clubs at Castaway Cay, he is on the island with the clubs, not on the ship...Therefore it is all play at that time.
There may be an area where kids can rest on the island, but i am not sure...

Yes, DS MUST be picked up by the designated time (3 or 3:30) whichever the time is, because the clubs are closed for 1 hour for the counselors to go back on the ship and prepare the kids for a End of Cruise show.
I suggest you find out whether the Kayak will end in time, or arrange another adult in your party to pick your DS up or go earlier on the tour.

As far as the trip report, the default is that it lists posts for the last so many days (I think it's 30). I believe you can change this number of days by clicking on the arrow next to the number of days, and you'll be able to find the report.

Thanks for the help everyone. I hadn't noticed the pull down option and was able to find the trip report. I will also coordinate my kayak trip for the AM to be on the safe side.
