Question about in room dining at AKL

I posted this on the resort forum as well, not sure where to place it. I was just reading on allearsnet.com that they require 24 hours notice for in room dining. We would like breakfast in our room the first morning we are there. Should I call the hotel before, or do you think I can just tell them at check in?

I have never heard of such a thing. Can you direct us to the exact page with this information.

This is the page I was reading, but now that I read it a bit closer, I think they need 24 hours for Kosher meals!

We ordered in-room dining on our honeymoon at AKL and you didn't need to give 24 hrs notice.

I do remember there was an option of canapes and such delivered to your room which did need the 24 hrs, which I guess is for people having small receptions etc.

I would add that we had a slightly odd experience with the in-room dining, in that I called to order from the room menu and was told they didn't serve the things I was ordering. I explained I was reading from the menu in the room, and they changed their mind and said ok!

(We both had prime rib)

Basically it is from Boma downstairs - just plated and brought upstairs. So if you like Boma's style of cooking then you'll love the dining there!

If you do order, the shrimp cocktail appy was lovely, and the flourless chocolate cake was really the best brownie I have ever had, complete with tiny animal sugar-paw-print on it!
