Our family of three is headed to WDW 11/28 thru 12/5 this year. My mom with my 2 sisters are a "maybe" in the party. (we each have our own hotel ressie with "travel with" numbers).
The question: I need to make ADRs, and am only certain that myself, DH, and DS will be there. But there's certainly a chance that the other three will attend as well. Would it be better to make ADRs for 6 total, and if only 3 of us show, then they'll just go ahead and seat us anyway? I have seen a few threads where people refer to the fact that the smaller the group, the less number of ADRs are held. As soon as I know for sure if the other 3 aren't coming, then I could call and change them...but would that put me back into the big pile of those trying to get last minute ADRs, or would Disney just modify the exisiting ADR? Any help, assistance, experience in this matter would be most helpful! We have been saving for years to take our special-needs son to Disney, and he talks about it in anticipation EVERY SINGLE DAY!
