Question about ICE

I'm assuming that the ICE exhibit in Orlando is basically the same as the one in Nashville where we are going next month. I read that they issue you "warm parkas" when you enter because of the cold temps. My question is do they have very large parkas readily available? My husband and I are both pretty big, so I didn't want to get stuck without a parka! Any Pooh-sized folks been there?

I was just coming here to start my own thread with several questions about Ice as well....I hope you don't mind if I post them here?

I can't answer your question from experience, but I did see (maybe on allears?) that all sizes were available.

Do you (or anyone else) know about how long we should plan to be able to enjoy the exhibit?

Is the ice skating part of it, or something else all together?

When you pre-purchase the tickets, do you have to pick a date? Or can I buy them now and we can just head over there when we feel we have the time?

I think I may have had more questions...let's see if we get any help with what we've asked though!!

Yes, they have very large parkas. DH and I are quite pooh sized and it was big on even him. It's been a few years since we went so I don't know much about ice skating or anything. You don't pick a particular day that I know of when you buy tickets. As to how long it takes, it depends on how many other people are there and how much playing on the big slides you want to do. We spent about 2 hours in there just playing. Holpe this helps.

Thank you very much, SnowWtch!!!

We'll be there the same time, looking at your ticker!!! We're arriving a bit ahead of you...December 2nd. I can't wait!! It's been almost three years since we've been for the Holiday decorations. I miss it so much I can't stand it any longer!!! LOL!!!

Happy Anniversary!

I'm so glad I found this thread. I just discovered this and was thinking of doing it the evening before our cruise. It looks really cool and something my parents would enjoy too.

I was wondering how much time we'll need to do this and what their hours are next Friday. We don't arrive at MCO until 3:30 pm and still need to allow time for dinner.

Different days do have different prices. Here's a link to their calendar. You can also order online and save some money.

I've been to the one in Nashville and the one in Orlando. One difference is that in Nashville it's in a building by the mall, so you can park there at the mall and not pay for parking. At the Gaylord Palms, it's in the hotel (one of the convention center areas, I think), and you have to pay for parking ($8 or $10).

While their themes were different, both were great! :thumbsup2

We were there for xmas day last year and yes, there are Pooh size parkas..we actually loved the sculptures and it made a great holiday treat...we never go to a park on the xmas day..we had late breakfast at 1900PF(10:30am), hit the gingerbread house to buy cookies and then headed to ICE!. We will be at wdw for xmas week this year , but not arriving until 12/28.....
