Question about how reservations work

We are planning a trip in September and I can make my dining reservations next week. Will they charge anything to my card when the reservations are made? If so, how much? I will be making the reservations for eight people, hopefully at the places listed below. Thank you!

Breakfast:
Chef Mickey’s
Tusker House
Cinderella’s Royal Table

Dinner:
Liberty Tree
Rainforest Cafe
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

Cinderella's Royal Table will charge at the time of booking. The amount will be shown per person on the reservation. Sorry I can't remember what the price is per person but I believe it was over $300 for a 4 person res last year when I was checking. For everything else the credit card is just for holding the res.

No, the CC is to guarantee you the reservation and if you no-show they'll charge it. I've heard people having issues booking parties for 8+, so be prepared to call if needed.

Except, as a pp stated, Cinderella's. They do charge the meal cost per person for that one at the time you make your reservation.

I was able to get everything I wanted except Chef Mickey’s for breakfast. I was able to get Via Napoli for dinner but it was for 8:00 so hopefully I can get that moved to an earlier time. We have dining alerts set for both places. The only issue I had was my bank declined the charge for Cinderella’s Royal Table because they suspected fraud and I had to grab DH’s debit card.

I was charged for Cinderella’s Royal Table but not for any of the others. They charged the full cost, including tax and gratuity. Thank you all for your help.

Just fyi, Cinderella's has no characters currently. I am also choosing restaurants in 4 days for September, my question is, at time does the window show up? Anyone knows?

On your 60 day window opening, reservations will open at 6am EST. Others have reported before that they were able to start at 5:45am but I would not count on it. If you are unsuccessful for certain ressies day of, try closer to your trip. People tend to hoard early on and then release closer to vacation time.
