Question about housing for CP at DLR

Hey all, for those who did the CP at Disneyland Resort, are there apartments near the park besides the housing that Disney provides? and if there is, how much is it a month? Thankss v

Hey! Yes, there are lots of apartments near disneyland and in neighboring cities. I wrote a post about my apartment hunt here: [ http://magicmagicmouseketeer.blogspot.com/2010/05/apartment-hunting.html ]

It's hard to quote a price on rentals because there's a huge range depending on the complex and how close you are to Disneyland. I looked at studios and one bedrooms near Disneyland for $780 - $1100. I live within walking distance to the parks and I'm definitely paying for the convenience. A lot of cast members also seem to live in Fullerton, Garden Grove, etc.

Just to add to above, I would be wary of any place that would charge you below $650/month, with the exception of a roommate situation, of course.

Also, try to avoid Santa Ana. I used to live there, and while it was convienient enough, it was just really, really seedy. I spent many a night laying in a dark bedroom having a chat with the 911 operator about my next door neighbours, and this was in a relatively "nice" part of town.

I was considering doing the same, so I'd have a better chance getting into the program if I didn't need the CP provided housing.

But that much to get a studio??
