Question about HHN

I know this is a stupid question, but my DD and I just enjoy the ambience of Halloween. Is it possible to go to a HHN and just walk around going on the odd ride here and there avoiding the haunted houses? Or are there things jumping out at you everywhere and it's impossible to avoid the gore and scares?

Well, you have to walk through scare zones so there really is no way to avoid getting scared. People dressed in costumes jump out at you almost everywhere.
