I was wondering if I should get the express passes for Wednesday Oct, 24? I can't judge how busy it will be being a school night and all. I plan on being at US all day so that might help. Any answers?:confused3 :bride:

I would recommend it. The closer to Halloween the busier it gets and that's pretty close to 10/31.

I would also recommend it. We went on a Weds last year and it was the quietest of the nights we were there but that was earlier in the month. As Metro says, it does get a lot busier as the month goes on.

By doing the stay & scream you'll be able to get in several houses before the crowds start building up so you would likely be able to get them all done without the express passes but the last few you'd be waiting in line for quite a while. With so much to see around the park, if you're only going one night you want to spend as little time as possible waiting in line. Besides, what we've discovered over the years is a house that is quite enjoyable after a 2 minute wait with an EP isn't as enjoyable if you've had to wait in line for an hour (or more) to get in.

If you have the EP and do the stay & scream you'll easily be able to do half the houses without using your EP then decide if you want to wait in the lines for the others or use the EP. Whatever you get through before resorting to your EP you can do a second time with the EP. This is what we always do and find it works quite well.

I asked the TM at Guest Services where the S & S area would be this year and she told me by Finnegan's again...as far as she knew.

We'll be there the 24th. We don't have EPs for that night, but we do for Friday the 26th. Sine we are going 4 nights, I only splurged for the EPs for one of them. We are going on the Secrets of the Sideshow tour on the 24th from 1 to 4, then we'll be at Finnegan's until they turn us loose.............nice!!!!!!

i'm going solo and dropping about $3k on this trip.
i asked myself, what's another 100 ..........i'd rather have the ep than wish i had the ep's.

i bought them for 3 nights of hhn.
the 4th night i'm doing rip tour.

i'd buy the ep.

How much are the Express Passes for HHN? I'm gonna try and go for my first time this year and want to make the most of it.

Before they did express passes - we all use to wait in these 2 HOUR LONG lines

MURDER - PURE MURDER!!!

$35.99 is well worth avoiding the murderous lines.

Did I mention I HATE waiting in lines?

The RIP tour is even better at avoiding lines if you can afford it ;)

What exactly is that?

I could convince the FI to do it (not this year, but maybe next year)

Our friends are useless. They're the ones that made me look up all the info for HHN & I have yet to hear if they even want to go.

DON'T MAKE ME WASTE MY PRECIOUS TIME grrrrrrrr :headache:

:goodvibes

To quote someone who is involved with the tours ...

All RIP Tours are guided walking tours of Halloween Horror Nights. Tour guides utilize their own entrances for the various HHN houses so that you do not wait in line to experience them (express does wait in a line, shorter than the main line but a line nonetheless), and tours also get preferred seating at the Bill & Ted show.

There are two different types of RIP Tours, Non-Private and Private. Non-Private tours take small groups and combine them together into a larger group of no more than 12 guests. Private tours would be just your group with a guide for the evening. Non-private tours are priced at a per person rate and Private tours are priced at a per group rate (a group is anywhere from 1 to 12 guests). Tour prices do not include admission into the event. Each guest on tour must have admission to take part in the tour. You can either purchase your admission tickets separately, or you can include them with the order when you book your tour. If you choose to include them with the tour order they can sell you the admission tickets at the Stay & Scream ticket price which is a considerable amount less than the regular full priced HHN admission price (especially on non-peak nights).

The main focuses of the Non-Private tours are the 8 haunted houses and the Bill & Ted show. There is a 30 minute break built into the tour. Access into the regular park attractions during the tour is not guaranteed (however, on peak nights you will be able to use your RIP tour credential for express access to the regular park attractions after the conclusion of the tour).

Following is the pricing for the different tours for 2007:

12am Non-Peak Night Closings:
Non-private tours
$120.00 plus tax and admission per person
Tour is 4 hours in duration and departs promptly at 8pm
Tour group will not exceed 12 guests
Private tours
$1500.00 per group of up to 12 plus tax and admission
Up to 5 hours in duration and generally starts at 7pm
Tour group can be from 1 to 12 guests

2am Peak Night Closings:
Non-Private tours
$140.00 plus tax and admission per person
Tour is 5 hours in duration and departs promptly at 8pm
Tour group will not exceed 12 guests
Private tours
$1800.00 per group of up to 12 plus tax and admission
Up to 7 hours in duration and generally starts at 7pm
Tour group can be from 1 to 12 guests

You can book these tours by calling the VIP Tour Reservations office.

There was a time back in the 90's when you could do all the houses, shows and even a ride or two even on a peak night. We used to do it every year. Since about 2002 though we have to get express passes and frequent fear.

Have Fun!
Dusty
