this might be true, since its not skipping the line, but honestly, if a child is too scared for this preshow, the ride may terrify them, think of before the drop, when the ghost are on both sides, the glass mirror breaking in the distance, the various experinces you may enconter during the ride such as lightning effects, etc...
My DD5 has ridden ToT at least 20 times, but just recently doesn't like the movie in the library. The rest of the ride doesn't seem to bother her and she knows what to expect. Who knows why the movie is scary to her while the rest isn't?
When I told her that she might be able to ride it without the movie, she was really excited. I think we'll try it on our trip in July.
