Question about handicapped rooms at WL?

DH & I are DVC members so not sure if that makes any difference to the rooms; but we were wondering about handicapped rooms at Wilderness Lodge. We are interested in staying there and are wondering what are the best handicapped rooms - outlay of the room, closeness to elevators, and the view.

DH is an above the knee amputee and has a WC but mostly uses his walker to get around the house. Going out he usually will use his prosthetic leg and crutches (at Disney we'll rent an ECV). He's told me he would prefer a room with more handles rather than a roll-in-shower. Most of the photos I've seen are the roll-in type.

thanks in advance for the advise!

A couple of questions to help us hive you the best information:

1) are you planning to stay at one of the WL resort rooms or one if the WL DVC villas?

2) if you plan to be at a villa, what size are you planning to stay in?

Sorry about that...

1. We'd probably stay in the DVC villas (I'm guessing since we're DVC members and haven't stayed anywhere else.)

2. Probably either a 1-bedroom or a Studio. Either would work for us (since there will only be two of us).

Thanks!!
