I have read some threads about people having grocery's delivered to their room, so its there when you arrive and check in WDW. How do you contact this service?
What is the cost? is it offered by disney? Will they deliver to the poly?

Thanks:banana:

There are a couple of services I know about - Garden Grocer, and We Go Shop. (wegoshop.com) We ended up using WeGoShop because Garden Grocer only had about 1/2 the items on my list, and WeGoShop was able to get everything. GG has a list that you pick from, while with WGS, you tell them exactly what you want, and they, well, shop for you. So, you don't know exactly how much it will be ahead of time, but otoh, if it is on sale, you get the sale price. She adds 10% for her time, plus a delivery charge. You have to coordinate the time with her, but she can drop it with bell services, tho you will probably have to follow up with bell services to get it to your room. I think either delivers to any WDW resort, tho I don't know absolutely for certain. Neither is connected officially with Disney, fwiw.

We used Garden Grocer in December and were really impressed with their service.

We used gardengrocer.com in October, and it worked very well for us. Their website is pretty easy to navigate. There is a spot for Disney resorts so you don't need to know the address for delivery. They called our cell phone, but left a message as we were still in the air, that our items were with bell services. Bell services kept everything cold for us. I believe it was a $12 delivery fee. The price of the groceries were about what I pay in Indy.

another :thumbsup2 for Garden Grocer. We've used them 4 times and have had really good service each time. They've usually arrived at the resort before us and Bell Services kept the food cold. Once we are in our rooms, Bell Services will bring it up for us. The website is very easy to navigate and the delivery charge (I think $12) is well worth not having to drag 4 kids through the grocery store to me!!!

Add me to the pro-GardenGrocer list. We used them last year and were very impressed - and we're using them again this year. Also, if there are only a few items you need that are not on their "list," you can ask them if they can get it for you in the "message" section at checkout. That is where we add beer and wine to our list.

I love having "real" food and fresh produce! Yeah GardenGrocer!

That's great, thanks for the info DISERS, :cheer2: :thumbsup2
Also, we were wondering if alcohol or beer would be included in the items?
For those night caps to calm the nerves, and help sleep!!

You won't find alcohol on GardenGrocer's list of items. When you check out, there will be a box if you want to include a "message." In that box, you can put your beer, wine or liquor request and they will add it later. If I recall, we paid for our groceries when we placed the order, and then we paid for the alcohol separately. They were really good about trying to accomodate our requests (for certain brands of wine, etc.)

Enjoy!
