When you look it up it states that bedroom # 2 has 2 queen beds and bedroom #3 has 2 full. Is this correct for all villas? Are there any that have 2 queens in the 2nd and 3rd bedroom?...smjj

We were in a GV at OKW and the 3rd bedroom had two full beds. I was in this room and we kept calling it the KIDS room, smaller than the other two bedrooms. We only had 5 adults sharing the GV so we still had plenty of room.

Yep, one bedroom has two queens, the other two doubles. The room with the two doubles was smaller than the one with two queens.

Oh darn, both my son and SIL are tall and big. Oh well, we will just let them fight over who get the bedroom with the two queens. We are taking bedroom #1...smjj

That was always my understanding as well. However, I just booked our first GV for January and the CM indicate two queen beds in both bedrooms. I assumed they had changed this with the rennovation. I guess she misspoke - nuts!

Did you book OKW? I think the other resorts may be different.

Shame, shame. Exercise your DVC owner rights!! Let the others take the smaller beds, the shared rooms, the sleeper sofas/chairs.

I'm taking my aunt, uncle and another couple to a GV at OKW in September. I will have a room to myself as my partner won't be able to join us because he starts a new job just before our trip :-(

So I feel a bit bad about claimin the Master Bedroom all to myself, but of course I also would love to have the big bed and the huge bathroom.

So, let me understand this. After the renovations, they have two standard beds in the third bedroom or was that before the renovations and not anymore?...smjj

That's the way it has always been. The third bedroom is smaller than the second bedroom. I think you could fit another queen sized bed in the second bedroom.

First rule of DVC ownership. The member gets the master. ;)

I agree. This last trip to VGC, there was a possibility that my dad was coming with his GF. Normally, my dad loves to be in the living room where he can be in the mix until the last person goes to bed. I heard his GF ask him whether there was a master bedroom they could sleep in:scared1: My dad said, bless his heart, "There is, but that's my DD and DSIL's room, if we go, we'll sleep in the living room";) They didn't come.

I've stayed in a GV at OKW and SSR and they both have 2 queens in the 2nd and 2 fulls in the 3rd! The second bedroom at the OKW GV w/ the 2 queens is humongous and you can easily fit atwin or full blow up mattress in it!

I've given the master away a couple of times because it just made more sense with who was traveling with us and though I knew I was doing the "right" thing, inwardly I was still a tad bitter about it!

We are asking this question due to us trying to plan another family vacation. We were 10(6 adults) the last time in Oct. but we stayed in a Grand Villa at BLT. We want to stay at OKW this next time however our son and SIL are tall and big and my wife is worried they will not fit on a standard. I think she is worrying over nothing, heck they are staying on our dime. Whats to complain about, right??...smjj

Would they each have their own bed so they could sleep on the diagonal or will kids be sharing the other bed? My son is 6'4" (149lbs) so other than at home, if not in a queen or bigger, his feet go to the end, where he prompty undoes the end of the sheets!

Hey, it's vacation, and you can't expect things to be like home but GV accomodations shouldn't dissappoint anyone much less generate a complaint, besides it's only for a short stay! Let them work it out themselves, I wouldn't worry about it!
